The Twisted Fate

In the heartthrob of Seoul, where ambition thrived and dreams collided, Jungkook was a name that resonated with success. As the youngest CEO of a renowned fashion empire, he was not only the richest man in the city but also one of the most sought-after bachelors. His striking looks and sharp intellect made him a magnet for admiration. Yet, beneath the polished exterior lay a heart burdened by unrequited love for Duri, his stunning assistant manager.

Duri had always been the epitome of grace and ambition, but when Jungkook finally summoned the courage to propose to her in front of their colleagues, the silence that followed was deafening. “Duri, will you marry me?” he asked, his heart racing.

She looked at him, her expression a mix of shock and disbelief. “Jungkook, I… I can’t. I’m sorry,” she replied, her voice laced with regret as she walked away, leaving him standing there, humiliated.

The sting of rejection ignited a fire within Jungkook. In a moment of reckless determination, he decided to marry Y/N, Duri’s younger sister, as an act of revenge. Y/N was a talented designer at his company, and he knew she had long harbored feelings for him. “This will teach Duri a lesson,” he thought.

Later that day, Jungkook met Y/N at a cozy café. The aroma of coffee filled the air, but the atmosphere between them felt tense.

“Actually, I have an offer for you,” Jungkook said, his tone cold and detached.

Y/N looked up, confusion flickering in her eyes. “What is it?” she asked, her heart racing slightly.

Jungkook sighed, leaning closer, resting his elbow on the table. “I want you to marry me. Instead, I’ll give you money. You can tell me how much you want.”

Y/N’s eyes widened in shock. “Marry me? But why?”

His jaw clenched, the anger and pain evident in his voice. “Because of your sister, Duri. As you know, I got rejected by her, and she humiliated me in front of everyone. Marrying you would be the biggest revenge.”

A wave of hesitation washed over Y/N. She couldn’t bear the thought of hurting her sister, despite the turmoil between them. “I can’t do it,” she said firmly, her voice steady.

Hey, Army! If you like my writing, how about buying me a little coffee? ☕😊

Jungkook smirked, a cruel edge to his expression. “Such a caring sister, aren’t you? Let me tell you something: if you don’t accept this offer, I could make your sister’s life worse than ever. So, do you want that?” He crossed his arms, his gaze piercing into hers. “Choose your words carefully, Y/N.”

Fear gripped Y/N; she never wanted to see Duri suffer. After a deep breath to steady herself, she finally spoke, “Fine. I will marry you.”

Jungkook’s smirk widened, satisfaction gleaming in his eyes. “Good choice. Now, let’s talk about the money. Tell me how much you want.”

Y/N sighed, frustration bubbling beneath the surface. “Look, I’m not a gold digger. I don’t want anything neither money nor gifts.”

Jungkook’s expression narrowed, a hint of disbelief clouding his gaze. “Interesting… But I will give you something whether you like it or not.” He sighed dramatically, then pulled out a sleek black unlimited card, tossing it onto the table with a flourish.

“Take it and do whatever you want,” he said, standing up abruptly.

“Wait!” Y/N called after him, her voice tinged with desperation. “You can’t just buy me like this!”

He turned back, a smirk still plastered on his face. “I’m not buying you, Y/N. I’m giving you a choice. Meet me on wedding day.”

With that, he strode out of the café, leaving Y/N staring at the card in disbelief, the gravity of the situation weighing heavily on her shoulders. The tension in the air lingered, mixing with her swirling emotions. She picked up the card, feeling its cold surface against her fingertips..

The wedding was a lavish affair, but the joy that should have filled the air was overshadowed by Jungkook’s internal conflict. He felt no love for Y/N; she was merely a pawn in his game of revenge against Duri. As the ceremony ended, Y/N beamed at him, her heart full of hope, while Jungkook felt trapped in a gilded cage.

Days turned into weeks, slowly Y/N starts having feeling towards Jungkook so she poured her heart into their marriage, hoping to win Jungkook’s love. She decorated their home with her designs, planned romantic dinners, and tried to connect with him. “Jungkook, I made your favorite dish tonight,” she said one evening, placing a beautifully cooked meal on the table.

He looked at her, his expression indifferent. “Thanks,” he muttered, his mind elsewhere.

Y/N’s heart sank, but she refused to give up. “I know you’re busy, but we could spend some time together. Just us,” she suggested, a hopeful glimmer in her eyes.

“Maybe later,” he replied dismissively, leaving her feeling more alone than ever.

One night, Y/N was getting ready for a family dinner, struggling with the zipper of her dress. As she tugged at it in frustration, Jungkook noticed her plight and approached her.

“Let me help you,” he offered, his voice unexpectedly gentle.

Y/N turned, slightly surprised by his willingness to assist, but she nodded gratefully.

As Jungkook carefully pulled the zipper up, his fingers brushed against her skin, sending an unfamiliar shiver down his spine. He paused for a moment, caught off guard by the sudden rush of warmth that enveloped him. But he quickly shook off the thought, stepping back with his usual cold demeanor.

“Let’s go,” he said, his tone clipped, masking the whirlwind of emotions beneath the surface.

Y/N nodded, feeling a mix of confusion and anticipation as they left the room together, the air thick with unspoken tension.

As they arrived at the family dinner, Duri spotted Jungkook and Y/N immediately. Jungkook, with a deliberate smirk, wrapped his arms around Y/N’s waist, exuding confidence as he locked eyes with Duri.

Duri’s heels clicked sharply against the marble floor as she approached, her expression a mix of disbelief and fury. “Well, well, look who’s here,” she said dramatically, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Y/N gasped at Duri’s sudden appearance, but Jungkook shot back without missing a beat. “Yes, the most beautiful and hottest couple is here,” he declared, his tone laced with mockery. He turned to Y/N, a gleam in his eyes. “Isn’t that right, my love?” His sweetness was painfully fake, designed to dig at Duri’s wounds.

Y/N felt the underlying tension in his voice and managed a strained smile. “Yes, my husband,” she replied, her heart racing with conflicting emotions.

Duri’s eyes widened in anger and humiliation, her breath hitching as she processed their taunting display. Without another word, she turned on her heel and walked away, her pride shattered.

As Duri retreated, Jungkook smirked with satisfaction, reveling in the victory. But Y/N felt a heavy sigh escape her lips. Her mind raced with turmoil, realizing she was merely a pawn in this twisted game of revenge. The weight of her situation pressed down on her, and she struggled to reconcile her feelings for Jungkook with the harsh reality of their marriage.

Later, Duri was wrestling with her own demons. The sight of Y/N and Jungkook together twisted her stomach into painful knots. The humiliation of being rejected, only to watch her sister marry him, felt unbearable. “How could she do this to me?” Duri seethed, her jealousy morphing into a dark obsession that consumed her thoughts.

One night, Duri suddenly approached Jungkook’s mansion while Y/N was reading a magazine in the living room, waiting for Jungkook. She speak as her eyes blazing with fury. “You think you’ve won, don’t you?” she hissed. “You’ve taken everything from me!”

Y/N, trembling, tried to defend herself. “Duri, I didn’t take anything! Jungkook chose to marry me!”

“Don’t lie! You manipulated him!” Duri shouted, her voice echoing in the empty room. “I swear, I will make you pay for this betrayal!”

As Duri stormed out, Y/N felt a chill run down her spine. She knew Duri was hurt, but she never expected such venom.

Days passed, and Y/N tried to focus on her work, pouring her emotions into her designs. Yet, the weight of Jungkook’s indifference was suffocating. One evening, while she was sketching in her studio, Jungkook entered, his expression unreadable.

“Y/N, I need to talk to you,” he said, his voice serious.

“What is it?” she asked, her heart racing.

“I’ve noticed you’ve been distant lately. Are you unhappy?” he inquired, a hint of concern breaking through his stoic facade.

“I just want to be closer to you, Jungkook,” she admitted, her voice trembling. “I want to make this work.”

He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “As you know I never wanted this marriage for the right reasons. I was angry at Duri, and you were… convenient.”

Y/N felt as if the ground had been pulled from beneath her. “Yes I know that now I feels like, you regret marrying me?” she asked, tears brimming in her eyes.

“Not entirely,” he said, surprising her. “You deserve more than this. I just don’t know how to feel.”

But before Y/N could respond, Duri burst into the room, her face twisted with rage. “You think you can just walk away from me, Jungkook? You’re a coward!”

“Duri, this isn’t the time,” Jungkook replied, irritation creeping into his voice.

“Oh, but it is!” Duri shouted, her eyes wild. “I’ll make sure you both regret this!”

In that time, Duri lunged at Y/N, but Jungkook stepped in front of her, a fierce protectiveness radiating from him. “You will not hurt her!” he declared, his voice steady.

“Stay out of this, Jungkook!” Duri screamed, her sanity unraveling.

As the confrontation escalated, Y/N felt a surge of fear. “Duri, please, stop!” she pleaded, tears streaming down her face.

But Duri was beyond reason. Just then, she grabbed a glass vase from a nearby table and hurled it at Y/N. Jungkook, acting on instinct, pushed Y/N out of the way, taking the impact himself. The vase shattered against the wall, and he stumbled back, pain etched across his features.

“Are you okay?” Y/N cried, rushing to his side.

“I’m fine,” he grunted, but his voice betrayed him. He turned to Duri, his eyes blazing with fury. “This is enough! I’m calling the police!”

Duri’s face twisted in rage as she realized her plan was crumbling. “You think this will stop me? I will make your lives a living hell!” she screamed, but as Jungkook dialed the police, her bravado began to fade.

When the officers arrived, Duri’s world came crashing down. “You’re under arrest for assault and harassment,” one of the officers declared, handcuffing her as she struggled against them.

“Jungkook, you can’t do this!” she yelled, her voice filled with desperation.

“I have to protect Y/N,” Jungkook replied, his heart heavy but resolute.

As Duri was led away, Y/N turned to Jungkook, her heart pounding. “You saved me… again. Why?”

Jungkook hesitated, searching for the right words. “Because… I care about you. I never wanted to hurt you, Y/N. I was lost in my anger towards Duri, but you showed me what love really is.”

Y/N’s heart swelled with hope, and the barriers between them began to crumble. That night, they talked for hours, sharing their fears and dreams. In Jungkook’s eyes, Y/N saw a flicker of something she had longed for true affection.

Days turned into weeks, and with Duri out of the picture, Jungkook and Y/N grew closer. They spent evenings wrapped in each other’s arms, exploring the city, and discovering the depths of their feelings. Jungkook watched Y/N pour her heart into her designs, and he began to admire her talent and passion.

One night, under a blanket of stars on the rooftop of their building, Jungkook took Y/N’s hands in his. “I need to ask you something,” he said, his voice trembling slightly.

“Anything,” she replied, her heart racing.

“Will you let me love you?” he asked, sincerity radiating from his gaze. “I want to start over. No revenge, just love.”

Y/N’s breath caught in her throat. “Yes, Jungkook! I want that too!”

He leaned in, capturing her lips with his in a tender kiss that spoke volumes of their newfound connection. As they pulled away, Jungkook smiled, the weight of the past finally lifting.

“I want to propose again,” he said, a glimmer of mischief in his eyes. “But this time, it’s for the right reasons.”

“Really?” Y/N laughed, her heart soaring.

“Yes! I want to marry you in front of our family and friends, and I want it to be real,” he declared, his voice filled with determination.

Later with a beautiful ceremony planned, Jungkook took Y/N’s hand and led her to a picturesque garden surrounded by loved ones. As he knelt down, presenting her with a stunning ring, emotion flooded his voice. “Y/N, will you marry me for real this time?”

“Yes! A millions times yes!” she exclaimed, tears of joy streaming down her face as she threw her arms around him.

The crowd erupted in cheers, celebrating their love. In that moment, Jungkook and Y/N knew they had overcome the darkness and found true happiness together. As they danced under the stars, Jungkook held Y/N close, whispering sweet promises of love and devotion. Duri’s shadow was behind them, but the bond they had forged was unbreakable and as they looked into each other’s eyes, they saw a lifetime of joy waiting to unfold.
